The Brazilian Horned Frog lives amongst the leaf litter of the Atlantic Forests of coastal Brazil. It will sit in one spot all day waiting for its prey to walk right in front of its mouth.
This is not your common horned frog or Pacman Frogs that you find in your pet store. They are one of the largest species of horned frogs.
The International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List assess the Brazilian Horned Frog as Least Concern for Extinction. They have a wide range and a presumed large population. However, its habitat is being destroyed to make room for cities and farms.
