The answer to this week’s Cane Toad or No is…… No. This is a Southern Toad (Anaxyrus terrestris) which is native to Florida. The Southern Toad has oval parotoid glands vs the Cane Toad whom has triangular glands. The Southern Toad also has cranial crests that run down the center of their head while the Cane Toad does not.
