This is a Oak Toad (Anaxyrus quercicus), the smallest toad in the US. They don’t even reach 2 inches long. They have a decent sized parotoid gland for their size but its oval in shape while the Cane Toad has more of a triangular one. The Oak Toad lacks ridges that wrap around the eye and down their nose. These ridges are easily seen on Cane Toads.
