The answer to this week’s frog or toad is…. FROG. It is a Cape Rain Frog (Breviceps gibbosus) from the family Brevicipitidae. It is found in Southern Africa and is also the largest rain frog.
To figure out it’s a frog, you could have realized it’s a rain frog because the Common Rain Frog is the frog of the week. If you didn’t see that, I’d look at the lack of parotid gland and the lack of warts.
