Importance of Frogs

One third of frog species are facing extinction but why should we care? Because frogs are important that’s why.

One reason is because frogs play an important role in the food web. Frogs eat insects and other things while frogs are eaten by bigger animals such as snakes and birds. Just like in Star Wars, frogs bring balance to the force (food web).

A good reason to care is because frogs eat pests such as mosquitoes that can spread diseases and just be annoying.

An often forgotten reason is that frogs could help advance our medicine. Research on all the frog species are still being done and there’s no idea what secrets they hold.

There are many reasons why we need to help protect frogs from extinction.
