The Herper (someone with an interest in reptiles and amphibians) of the week is Dr. Josefa Celsa Señaris from Venezuela. She obtained her doctorate from the University of Santiago de Compostela. She is also the director of the La Salle Foundation’s Natural History Museum in Caracas.
She has described two genera of frogs – Metaphryniscus and Tepuihyla and 37 species of amphibians and reptiles.
