The answer to this week’s frog or toad is…. FROG. It is a Karin Hills frog (Brachytarsophrys carinense). It is from the family Megophryidae, the leaf litter frogs. They are found throughout Asia and look like leaves.
Now onto the identification of it. If you are good, you just realize that it’s a leaf litter frog because of it’s appearance. If you aren’t as good, the skin is relatively smooth and there’s no parotid gland.
