Herper of the Week: David B. Wake

The Herper of the Week is David B. Wake, director and co-founder of AmphibiaWeb. He was also the director and curator of herpetology of the Museum of Vertebrate Zoology at the University of California – Berkeley and president of the American Society of Naturalists and American Society of Zoologists. His research is evolutionary patterns and the processes of it. He currently has two projects he is working on: AmphibiaTree, a phylogenetic hypothesis for all species of amphibians and HerpNET, a biodiversity project to produce a fully geocoded distributed database of amphibians and reptiles in 40 North American museums.
