Though Steve Irwin died a few years ago, he helped create a love of animals especially crocodiles in many kids. Steve Irwin was the star of the show – The Crocodile Hunter, where he encountered crocs and other animals (didn’t actually hunt them). His enthusiasm and love of animals brought in viewers from around the world. He also made a few documentaries.
Steve also took over his parent’s zoo and change the name to Australia Zoo. Steve helped capture crocs and moved them to somewhere safer for them or they were moved to his zoo. The zoo has become a popular tourist attraction.
Steve Irwin created the Steve Irwin Conservation Foundation which was renamed Wildlife Warriors Worldwide. This foundation helps animals all over the world.
Sadly, He died in 2006 from a string ray attack but his memory will love on in old episodes of his show, the zoo, and his wife and children.
