The answer to this week’s frog or toad is…. TOAD. It is a Yosemite Toad (Anaxyrus canorus) from the True Toad family – Bufonidae. It is only found in California in the USA.
Best way to identify that it’s a toad is the paratoid gland behind its eye. It also has a short stubby toad like body but that’s not the best way.
