Frogs are carnivores so they eat meat but there are a lot of different items that they eat. Frogs only like to eat live animals unless you trick them into eating a dead one. Frogs generally eat anything they can fit into their mouth. Frogs will even eat other frogs so be careful housing frogs together.
Frogs such as the Mexican Burrowing Frog, eat mainly termites and ants they find underground. Their mouth is narrow to help them eat.
Most frogs stick to the usual prey item – insects and worms. Grasshoppers, crickets, moths, spiders, and flies are the most common items.
Larger frogs are able to eat small snakes, mice, fish, and even small birds.
